Description
"Always There" is a handmade sculpture that has been meticulously crafted using traditional methods, such as files, wire brushes, cutters, and silver melds. Inspired by the art of Ikebana and designed in collaboration with Vasso Morfiadaki, this sculpture is available in very limited numbers. Ikebana is an ancient Japanese art form that involves arranging flowers in a vase according to a formalized ritual, symbolizing the principles of the universe and aiming to promote the flowers' healing properties and the rejuvenation of the human spirit. The sculpture features artifacts of branches, leaves, grains and seeds, fruit, and flowers bound together in abstraction and simplicity, symbolizing the relationships between man, earth, and sky. It celebrates the cycle of life and death, and promises rebirth. Handcrafted with care, each sculpture is unique. The sculpture is made of bronze, with a dark bronze patina and copper, and measures W 25 - D 3 - H 40 cm.
